about

IP-636

'arcadian screen is a critique of the online world of human interaction. within the bounds of our electronic devices, every aspect of design, functionality, and interaction is sold to us as being a vast and ever-expanding space of fluidity--a piece of arcadia, something pristine, worthwhile. there is somewhat of an obvious dissonance, however, as most do not experience or gain any sort of happiness or contentment from the supposed arcadia. there is a disconnect, and it arises between human reality and the reality of the online wherein no one garners any trust; everyone speaks in tongues; everyone hides behind a face; and most attribute honesty to pain. this inevitably creates a rift of isolation which the sounds on the album borrow: intangible synths, sparse composition, and DIY exploration.'

writing, recording, and mixing by james dunsmore.
mastered by kalio sittlinger.
